In this each instalment of this fun game series, you have to guide our heroic duo through all kinds of strange temples and platform mazes. They’ll have to be clever and work together to escape each challenging stage of the game.
Your objective is to use help each character collect the matching diamonds and reach the correct exit without getting hurt. Fireboy is invulnerable to lava, but will turn to ash if he touches the water. Watergirl can walk through water, but if she touches the lava, she’ll evaporate. The pools of poison are deadly to both characters. Use the switches and buttons to activate the trapdoors and elevators.

Fireboy and Watergirl games are cooperative 2-player adventures. You can share the keyboard with a friend or sibling and play together, but you can also play the game alone and control both characters by yourself. Use the WASD keys to run and jump with one character, and the arrow keys to direct the other. Whichever way you choose to play the game, teamwork between the two characters is essential. You won’t survive without it! This is not just because Fireboy can’t collect the blue diamonds and Watergirl can’t collect the red ones, but also because you can only complete the level if both characters make it to the exit. If one character dies, both players fail the level and will have to start over. In addition, the characters might start the level in different locations. You’ll have to find the right switches and step on the right buttons to open the doors and activate the elevators for each other.

In the first episode of the series, Fireboy and Watergirl venture into the Forest Temple. This title was first released in 2009. Next, our heroes’ search for gems and adventure takes them to The Light Temple (2010). The third instalment sees our heroes taking on the Crystal Temple (2013). The four original titles were all Flash games, so in 2018, Albet created newly upgraded HTML5 versions of these episodes. A fifth adventure followed in January 2019, Fireboy and Watergirl: Elements.
