King of Hearts is a card game also known as Black Lady. The game is sometimes also called Discard Hearts, because the objective of the game is to avoid gaining penalty points by passing the cards belonging to the hearts suit on to other players. King of Hearts is a trick-taking card game.
Each card of the hearts suit is worth one penalty point, and the queen of spades is worth 13. However, players can also attempt to collect all of the penalty cards. This is called ‘shooting the moon’. If a player succeeds in collecting the full hearts suit and the queen of spades, all other players will be given the full 26 penalty points instead.
